Abstract. The article deals with the issues related to the rehabilitation of children with disabilities of different age groups. The rehabilitation activities and technical means used are aimed at improving the quality of life of children. One of the most effective tools is textile means of rehabilitation. Currently, there is no single integrated approach to the design of such products.
Within the framework of solving the problems of improving the quality of life of children with disabilities, the authors proposed the concept of inclusive design of textile rehabilitation facilities, consisting of five basic principles. The first is the principle of rehabilitation design, defined as the area of inclusive design of textile products aimed at solving the problems of rehabilitation of impaired conditions of children. The theoretical basis of rehabilitation design is the idea that the process of rehabilitation of children is carried out using various methods, including technical means, which together with the condition of the child forms a single management system. The article presents the scheme of interaction of the three components of the child’s condition with textile means of rehabilitation, made on the model of adaptive control system.
The principle of multifactorial functioning of textile means of rehabilitation is that the developed products have multilateral relations with the child, among themselves and other means of rehabilitation.
The principle of interconnectedness with key disciplines is due to the complexity of the rehabilitation process, which affects different areas of knowledge.
The adaptive principle of designing textile rehabilitation means is the ability to quickly adjust the products to changing external conditions and the internal state of the child during operation.
The principle of effectiveness of textile means of rehabilitation is that the developed products should have a positive impact on the condition of the child, contributing to the effectiveness of the rehabilitation process. The authors developed a method for evaluating the effectiveness of textile rehabilitation products, consisting of two methods. The article presents its algorithm.
The concept of inclusive design of textile rehabilitation products has been tested, specific products for which patents have been obtained have been developed, and the effectiveness of these products has been evaluated.
