Abstract. The article discusses the problems of inculturation of the personality of a modern person through the prism of sociological analysis of fashionable activity in the system of fashion functioning and identifying its specific place and role in the structure of this process.

Naturally, the process of fashion functioning is subject to both the laws of social development and the general laws of material development. The mechanism of the emergence and spread of fashion is regulated, first of all, by the mechanism of social interaction. Its development is influenced both by the peculiarities of the concrete historical environment and the behavior of individual subjects that make up this society. Based on the ability of fashion to act as a determinant of social interaction, it is possible to define the principle of the integrity of the personality as an object and subject of social relations as a necessary condition for the process of fashionable activity.

Human inculturation is artificial and personality as an individual has a certain potential of «sociality», which can only be revealed in a certain special cultural environment.

In the socio-psychological structure of the personality fashionable activity is determined in accordance with its subjective needs for creative self-realization. Fashion, along with other personal values, is reflected in consciousness in the form of value orientations, which also include a wide range of social values recognized by a person. Obviously, the nature of the reflection of fashion as a personal value in the mind reflects the degree of integration of life. Therefore, it is possible both an incomplete, inadequate reflection of fashion as a personal value in consciousness, and an orientation in terms of consciousness towards fashion as a value. «Consumption» or vice versa refusal use of objects and objects fashion, built into the structure personalityoops valueto her, is an compulsory condition behavior subject.

Naturally, this activity does not unfold in isolation, but within the framework of the existing material and spiritual culture and is aimed at its development and enrichment. Fashionable activity not only reproduces the conditions of existence of the individual and society, but also acts as a way of self-realization of the individual, the formation of his abilities and a means of their realization.
