Abstract. According to statistics, the number of people with a corpulent body is in-creasing every year. A Rosstat study showed that 46 % of men are prone to obesity. However, despite the increase in the percentage of people with a chest circumference of more than 124 centimeters, many stores do not present large-sized products or the assortment is not wide enough.
In this article, the problem of designing products for a corpulent body is considered. The substituted analysis will improve the fit of waist products on a per-son prone to fatness. As is known, the distribution of fat masses affects the shape and nature of movement. Therefore, the use of design methods for a typical figure does not provide a high-quality fit, which is manifested in structural defects and stiffness of the consumer’s movement. Therefore, in order to design an ergonomic effect on a corpulent figure, it is necessary to introduce new dimensional signs for building clothes. The article contains methods of designing waistwear for a corpulent figure. The use of these methods will allow us to describe in more detail the features of the subcortical part of the human body on the plane and improve the ergo-nomics of the product.
