Abstract. The article presents the experience of digital transformation in the global and domestic economies. The generalized concept of «digital technologies» includes such IT products as machine vision, artificial intelligence, remote monitoring, blockchain, industrial robots and human-machine interfaces, digital twins, 3D design and 3D printing. In the global economy, the demand for digital technologies is growing annually, on average, by 20 %. The leaders of digital transformation are the economies of the USA, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Germany, and France. The annual growth of smart manufacturing technologies (Smart Manufacturing Market) in the economy of the countries-digital leaders is estimated by analysts at 12–14 %, which is facilitated by the complication of supply chains, shortening of delivery and marketing times, and tightening of product quality control. Digital leaders assign a special role to the introduction of their own IT corporations into the economies of other countries. Therefore, the creation of Russian IT products for the digital economy is aimed at ensuring the economic security of the state, especially in the current conditions of isolation and sanctions.
It has been established that in Russia the digital transformation began with the public sector, industrial enterprises of heavy engineering, instrumentation, aircraft manufacturing, mining, pharmaceutical plants, and food factories are transferring to a digital format of operation. The most demanded are three-dimensional design of objects using digital twins, blockchain and remote monitoring using machine vision, and robotics.
In the article, the authors analyzed the results of the current stage of digitalization of enterprises in the clothing industry. At the present stage, for the digital transformation of the clothing industry, IT support is being developed and improved for the main stages: from analytics and design to personification (customization) of products and quality control of manufacturing. The experience of the operation of clothing enterprises during the pandemic showed that business projects attracting outsourcing contractors based on the latest technologies for automating the design and technological stage and final inspection were economically stable. With the introduction of innovative computer vision technology and visual information analysis to assess the quality of garment manufacturing, the chain of digital transformation in the garment industry is closed.
