Abstract. The article deals with issues related to an integrated approach to quality assessment when choosing materials for the manufacture of special-purpose clothing. The authors present a method for checking the compliance of fabrics for special clothing with the requirements for its production, using an improved graphoanalytic method. To determine the complex quality indicator, the authors proposed to use the indicators determined as experimentally (surface density; tensile strength on the base and on the weft; elongation on the base and on the weft; tear strength on the base and weft; shrinkage after washing; number of abrasion cycles; breathability; technological density of threads per 10 cm on the base and weft; linear density of threads on the base and weft), and by calculation methods (coefficient of resistance to abrasion; linear filling of the fabric on the base and weft; surface filling; surface porosity; total porosity; linear filling on the base and weft; binding coefficient on the base and weft; surface filling). It is proposed to evaluate the conformity of fabrics by comparing the obtained complex quality indicators of the studied samples of materials with the reference sample. To automate the process of determining the complex quality indicator by the graphoanalytic method, the authors developed an application program in the AutoCAD environment in the AutoLISP programming language. The work of the program is as follows: input of the characteristics of fabrics determined by experience; automatic calculation of the necessary indicators of materials; calculation of a complex quality indicator and its graphical construction taking into account experimental and calculated values. The use of the proposed methodology for selecting materials for workwear, taking into account the complex quality indicator, will increase the efficiency of solving confection issues at clothing industry enterprises, and the use of the developed software product in its implementation significantly expands the potential of its application, since due to the automation of quite time-consuming calculations, it is possible to study an unlimited number of indicators.
