Abstract. The article analyzes trends in the development of pouch design during the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945). The object of the study was both traditional and new forms and styles in the creation of pouches, which were used in both civilian and military spheres. The article examines the features of materials, production technologies and color palette, as well as the influence of historical factors and cultural changes on the design of pouches. The analysis revealed the main trends that formed the unique aesthetic language of this element of everyday life, as well as its role in the formation of identity and evidence of time. The pouch, as an element of folk life, occupied an important place in everyday life, which made it a symbol of cultural identity. Especially during the Great Patriotic War, pouches underwent significant changes, adapting to new realities. In the context of a lack of resources and the desire for functionality, the pouch became not only a practical item, but also a bearer of artistic ideas. This article aims to explore these changes, their causes and consequences, and to identify key trends that shaped tobacco pouch design during this historical period. The study emphasizes that studying the design and functionality of such objects as tobacco pouches helps to better understand the social and cultural processes that took place in society during a difficult period in its history.
