Abstract. The article discusses issues that require an approach to the design of digital clothing in the study of ways to create various options for the external design of materials (textures, patterned and color solutions). The development of digital clothing models is becoming increasingly practical and can be used both to represent virtual collections in a digital environment and to create digital copies of models according to patterns to assess the quality of product fit when launching a real collection into production. Three-dimensional modeling programs such as Clo3D and Stylist3D are used to design digital clothing. As part of the ongoing research, this article examines the possibilities of the Stylist3D program and suggests, based on the information received, ways to artistically design products based on digital technologies. The authors have developed a technology for designing a textured solution of materials, on the basis of which Stylist3D created textures that simulate knitting and lace fabric. The resulting invoices are implemented in digital product models. Also, within the framework of this article, the authors have developed variants of materials based on a single graphic pattern, but with different scaling options and with different characteristics that determine, among other things, the appearance of the fabric. Using the obtained samples of materials, the Stylist3D program carried out the design of digital models of women’s clothing. The research conducted by the authors allows us to introduce ways to create materials of different textures, with different graphic textures, ornaments; to use original digital fabric samples in the design of digital clothing; significantly expand the possibilities of artistic design in a digital environment.
