Abstract. Today, the shoe industry is a high-tech production that actively uses computer-aided shoe design (SAPRO) systems SAPROS supporting 2D and 3D formats have become widespread in the shoe industry. These systems automate the work with the averaged sweep of the side surface of the shoe (URC) to build the structural basis of the upper of the shoe, internal and intermediate parts. When constructing a shoe drawing, errors arise due to the lack of a theoretically accurate technique for obtaining a scan of a spatially complex shoe surface. Changing the parameters of the shoe entails adjusting the shape of the URC and, as a result, building a new structural basis for the upper of the shoe. At the same time, there are developments of CAD-3D companies DelCam, Clarks, Lectra systems, Gerber System on the market. However, the high cost of software, as well as the availability of a hardware ecosystem for each software, prevent the active integration of foreign CAD-3D into Russian shoe production. Back in the 1970s, parameterization was used to automate production process control and led to large-scale industrial production. With the continuous development of computer technology and numerical control technology, parameterization has become a major trend in the information age and is widely used in various fields of design, changing the way of design and production.
Currently, a new generation of industrial designers is trying to use parametric tools to effectively manage the entire design process and provide endless opportunities for creation using digital modeling technology.
The article provides a comparative characteristic of the systems, describes the techniques common in the manufacture of shoes in relation to the use of parametric design tools Rhinoceros and Grasshopper.
