Technical conditions». The possibility of instrumental colorimetric gradation of similar skins, visually indistinguishable within the type, with close values of color coordinates in the CIE L*a*b* system is shown.

With the help of hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis, a dendrogram was constructed that combines semi-finished mink skins with close values of color coordinates in the CIE L*a*b* system. Using the Lambda-Wilkes statistics and Fisher’s criterion, the contribution of color coordinates to the color difference between mink skins within a color type is determined. It is shown that the chromaticity coordinates a* and b* make the greatest contribution to the color difference between groups of skin samples, while the L* – lightness coordinate is of secondary importance.

With the help of canonical analysis, specific discriminant functions, their standardized coefficients, and their contribution to each canonical function are determined. It is shown that with the help of the scatter diagram it is possible to identify and determine the significance of color differences between the color types of the blue group mink semi-finished product according to the strongest discriminant function.

Using the method of discriminant analysis, the values of the constants of the classification functions and their coefficients were calculated, corresponding to the canonical roots of the five selected groups of semi-finished mink by color types, which made it possible to compose the equations of the classification function for the skins of the semi-finished mink of the blue group. With the help of these functions, it will be possible in the future to classify new cases that will belong to the class for which the classified value will be the maximum.

Keywords: mink; pelage; fur raw materials and semi-finished products; optical properties; quantitative assessment; color characteristics

Grebeneva Yulia Sergeevna Federal Moscow state academy of veterinary medicine and biotechnology – MVA by K.I.
