Abstract.<\/strong> The ideological and artistic concept, the organic connection of modernity with the traditional Kursk costume are embodied by the authors of the work in the peculiarity of the compositional solution of the Kursk Spring collection, which could not have been created in isolation from national traditions, without using the values and principles of the original Kursk folk clothing.<\/p>\n

Material and spiritual values of past generations, traditions of the past, verified by centuries of experience in the life and transformative activities of the people, are the basis for the development of modeling of modern women’s outerwear. Without reliance on the past, there can be no development of clothing, culture, or progress in Russia of the future. Each historical epoch in the development of mankind, folk culture, including garments, leaves its value features as a legacy to descendants as the initial, fundamental basis for further progressive development. The modern fashion of women’s outerwear stimulates the traditional values of the Russian folk costume in the actual items of women’s wardrobe. The main protective function of modern products is the most valuable gift of our ancient great-great-ancestor, who \u201cmade\u201d the first product to protect the body from adverse environmental influences.<\/p>\n

The substantiation of the author’s collection of shirt jackets, its design and constructive solution in the aspect of embodying the connection between the past and the present, the actualization of traditional values and modernity in the collection of women’s outerwear (shirt jackets) is connected not only with the artistic and constructive features of the outerwear items of the Kursk folk costume, but also with spiritual and moral primordial concepts, the uniqueness of the perception of the palette of colors, a special semantic load of color. Today, the traditional symbolism of objects and flowers, complemented by the riches of modern aesthetic culture, is acquiring special relevance, the role of a kind of indicator of Kursk ethnicity.<\/p>\n

Traditions and modernity are the fundamental basis, the basis for the further development of the domestic fashion of women’s outerwear from the standpoint of Russia in the XXI century.<\/p>\n
