The authors set out the algorithm for creating the collection: from sketch, technical drawing to embodiment in the material.

The analysis of the creative heritage of the Spanish artist fashion-illustrator Antonio Lopez, the comprehension of his manner of execution, in the process of research, contributed to the search for a technique for the graphic solution of the sketch part of the collection, the development of his style and handwriting of the sketch using various materials. Lopez’s graphic presentation is complemented by «enlivening» accents, followed by a merger with the spirit of the ancient Scandinavian peoples, united by a warmer and more cozy atmosphere of the modern Scandinavian style. As a result of a combination of constructive and ornamental compositions of Old Norse art, a number of elegant models (blouses, tops, vests, trousers, skirts and dresses) of women’s wardrobe close to the art deco style were developed. With a compositional accent, the final image is shoes and decorative figured overlays made of embossed leather, attached to the hips.

The developed modern women’s collection is built on the asymmetrical filling of everyday-business and artistic-decorative image of models. And the use of transformable elements of the Viking heritage, as well as the return to the principles of forming an Old Norse costume using only natural materials, free cut and colors of natural shades is an actual and immediate trend in the field of fashion, attracting public attention to the acute environmental situation around the world.

Keywords: Scandinavian ornament; transformation; ornamental composition; transformation; scaling; analogy

Maslennikova Valeriya Artemovna Russian State University named A.N.
