Elements of folk and national costume are constantly present in fashion trends. But, most importantly, they are interesting and in demand in the wide consumer market. The need for a variety of clothes makes the task of designing a collection in the folk style relevant. To accomplish this task, a detailed study and analysis of Old Russian folklore, the study of ancient symbols and signs is necessary. During the period of Ancient Russia, a huge number of events took place, from numerous wars to the adoption of Christianity. The culture of Ancient Russia is a combination of the developments of the East Slavic principalities from the 9th to the 17th centuries. The culture of Medieval Russia is formed from the traditions and customs of the Eastern Slavic tribes, Byzantium, Scandinavia, as well as some Eastern European countries. Therefore, Old Russian folklore was chosen as the main source of inspiration for designing a collection of clothes in the folklore style. The article analyzes the collections of fashion designers of the 21st century, who used the folklore of different countries of the world as a source of inspiration in order to identify the main features of the modern folklore style. The analysis of the color types of women by the seasons was carried out to identify ways to facilitate the selection of clothes. The human color type is a set of natural colors that are combined in skin color, eye color, hair color, as well as the contrast between them. Color types are divided into four types: winter, spring, summer and autumn. We also analyzed the color palette to identify the optimal universal colors. Based on the research carried out, a modern collection of clothes and accessories in a folk style was developed, using modern technologies for the design and development of garments, such as CAD systems, 3D visualization systems for clothes, as well as 3D technologies for designing new types of products.

Keywords: collection; folklore; folklore style; Ancient Rus; color type; 3D visualization; 3D printing

Zbarovskaya Alina Alexandrovna Russian State University named A.N.
