This article discusses the most common interactive technologies and platforms that influenced the new format of the museum and added media expansion to the traditional museum space. In the context of the disclosure of this topic, the question is raised about the role of museum interactive technologies, audio guides, virtual tours and Internet excursions, augmented reality (AR) applications. New designations of the modern media space are proposed, taking into account museum branding and storytelling — the internal media space of the museum and the external unified museum media space of a city, district or country.

Digital projects of modern museums of fashion, everyday life and decorative art are analyzed — «Fashion Gallery» of the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), IEC «Fashion Museum» (Moscow), «Museum of Archeology» (Rosa Khutor, Sochi).
