Abstract.<\/strong> Traditional clothing is an important factor in ethnic identification and a repository of the meanings of culture and its values. In the national dress of any nation, color plays an important role, it reflects the national color. Armenian designers use national elements in modern costume, but the issue of using the color of images of traditional Armenian costume in modern fashion has not been studied in detail. This article is devoted to the study of the color of the images of the traditional Armenian costume in modern fashion. In the article brought to the attention of the reader, the authors outlined the color of the images of the traditional Armenian costume and considered various examples from the collections of designers that relate to modern fashion. It is concluded that, in general, traditional Armenian color combinations are also cited by designers in modern fashion, with the addition of new colors (as an addition). Basically, in modern fashion for a suit, the silhouette, the ornament of the suit changes, but there is not much abundance of radical color solutions, in relation to the color solutions of the traditional Armenian costume. At the same time, in the developments of modern designers, the proportions of motifs of ornaments, the proportions of colors in a suit and the zones of arrangement of ornaments and flowers in a modern suit are changing \u2014 this illustrates the adherence to the modern «fashion for ethnic style» on the part of costume designers. There are very few costume models that are «fractional» in color: for modern figurative solutions based on the color of the traditional Armenian costume, the integrity and harmony of the color image is characteristic, which reflects the high level of culture of modern designers in terms of working with the richest material of the traditional costume.<\/p>\n
