During performance of research the authors have set oneself the following tasks: to study a theme of ecology as a macro-trend, determine the directions of its development, trace the display of natural motifs in the modern collections by the various criteria, make a selection of knitted collections, analyze by what characteristics the natural source is interpreted in the knitted fabrics, analyze by what methods it is possible to achieve an embodiment of the nature image into the knitted fabrics and draw conclusions on design techniques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result of the analysis performed in the modern knitted fashion, the authors formulated the following conclusions: the ecological theme remains relevant in all spheres of society&#8217;s life. One of the directions of this theme is naturalness. The natural motifs are traced in the modern collections in the form of shapes similar to a creative source in the simulation of products and their ornamentation.
