Christian Dior and Coco Chanel had presented the ways of development of the female costume, the only one looking for a future in the images of the past, another saw him essentially new. The author\u2019s style of Dior was called the \u00abnew look\u00bb will forever remain in the history of fashion of the twentieth century as a symbol of the decade of 1950-ies. In their models, the designer used the principle of the ensemble, his suits was carefully thought out and elegant. He proposed forming a hard suit, \u00abdictating\u00bb the proportions and lines of the silhouette. The main rule Chanel was the creation of convenient and functional models that can be used in different situations. It turned out to be more popular since the postwar image of women has changed dramatically. Mastering new areas of work, women have become more active and independent. Therefore, practical clothing was in demand by the majority of the fair half. Look Dior expressed its position the direction of \u00abHaute couture\u00bb, Chanel, on the contrary, laid the Foundation for future costume design.
