Abstract.<\/strong> Shoes, as the most important element of the wardrobe, perform not only a protective function: in the shoe assortment you can find products for all categories of customers from budget to elite, various style options for men’s, women’s, children’s, special shoes and others. Today, shoes are a reflection of the inner worldview of their owner and sometimes can eloquently tell a lot about the lifestyle and occupation.<\/p>\n

The article discusses the main tools of conscious design and the philosophy of sustainable development that can be used in the development of shoe designs. The relevance of their use in the process of developing a new product is shown. The purpose of the ongoing research is to develop recommendations for the use of tools and filters of conscious design. A specific example shows the sequence of pre-project preparation based on marketing research, including a survey of respondents using a questionnaire method and an analysis of current trends. A portrait of a potential consumer is described. The importance of such conceptual components as individuality, functionality, environmental friendliness and high quality is revealed. Several examples and ways of using color, texture, detailing, laconic decor and their combinations to create a variety of not boring and elegant shoes are given. It is shown which models of shoes can be functional and at the same time relevant. Another aspect of the environmental friendliness of footwear is disclosed, which characterizes the inherent long-term use of footwear at the development stage. This approach is being developed within the framework of the dissertation for the degree of candidate of technical sciences Krasnova A.V. and is expected to be introduced into the educational process of the department \u00abArtistic modeling, design and technology of leather products\u00bb.<\/p>\n
