These ornamental forms, rooted in the origins of Russian folk art, are close and understandable and are considered by modern people as the national code of native culture. In the middle of the XX century, the ornamental forms of Russian folk crafts Khokhloma and Gzheli were used by the artists of the Pavlovoposadsky shawl manufactory in their work on ornamental shawl compositions. At the beginning of the XXI century, the range of ornamental motifs has expanded significantly. Talented designers A. Tolstikova, N. Ruchkina, I. Skazka and others create textile compositions for modern scarves with ornamental motifs of Gzhel, Gorodets, Dymkovsky toys, Mezen painting, Palekh. The author has identified the folklore ornamental motifs of printed kerchiefs of the early XXI century, the origin of which are Russian folk arts and crafts. Ornamental motifs in demand by modern designers today include: Gzhel motifs (blue Gzhel roses and other plant motifs, fabulous blue birds), motifs of Gorodetsky painting (genre story scenes, birds and horses, bright Gorodetsky roses and other plant motifs), motifs of Dymkovsky toys (animal figurines — horses, roosters, goats; anthropomorphic figurines of ladies, cavaliers, horsemen and horsewomen, officers), motifs of the Mezen painting (geometric symbols of fertility and solar signs, motifs of trees, animals), motifs of the Palekh painting (firebird, golden vegetable ligature).

Keywords: headscarves; shawls; folklore motifs; Russian folk arts and crafts; textile design; Russian cultural code

Sokovishin Alexander Alekseevich Russian State University named A.N.
