Abstract.<\/strong> Russia has always been and remains a major consumer of fur products due to its relatively unstable climatic conditions. Consequently, our population traditionally views natural fur as the primary material for winter outerwear, hats, and other various items. The most popular and fashionable furs include mink, sheepskin, fox, sable, marten, and others.<\/p>\n

This study examines the effect of low-energy ion flux on the microstructure of the dermis and hair of Australian sheepskin during the dyeing process. Acid dyes are used, which are highly soluble in water, less toxic than oxidative dyes, and produce a wide range of colors and shades distinguished by their brightness and purity of tone, allowing for the creation of imaginative and multi-colored furs.<\/p>\n

It was found that modification with a low-energy ion stream for 5 minutes, a working chamber pressure of 26,6 Pa, a plasma gas (argon) flow rate of 0,04 g\/s, a discharge power of 1,5 kW, and a generator frequency of 15,76 MHz averages and compacts the structural elements of leather tissue, while allowing the dye to better and more deeply adhere to the hair surface.<\/p>\n

Transforming fibrous material not only allows for the creation of a material with desired properties but also significantly improves the artistic and coloristic design of fur garments overall, creating rich and vibrant colors with reduced consumption of expensive dyes.<\/p>\n
