Abstract.<\/strong> The article presents the results of research aimed at designing an updated format of technological process charts for garment manufacturing in order to improve their perception through the application of graphic design principles.<\/p>\n

The relevance of the study is \u043e\u0431\u0443\u0441\u043b\u043e\u0432\u043b\u0435\u043d\u0430 by the acceleration of garment production processes and increasing quality requirements, while existing technological documentation does not fully meet the current level of manufacturing practices. Misinterpretation of imperfect technological charts directly leads to time losses, defects, and excessive material consumption. The increasing complexity of garment designs and sewing technologies requires more precise visual representation of operations. In conditions of high staff turnover and varying levels of professional training, employees require clear and intuitive technological charts. The transition from printed technical documentation to digital formats also necessitates adaptation for electronic device screens. These factors indicate the need to enhance the efficiency of technological charts through improved visual presentation.<\/p>\n

As a result, a modern publicly accessible reference guide has been developed, incorporating visually aesthetic and ergonomic technological charts for garment processing, as well as a user-friendly navigation system aimed at improving the efficiency of their perception and use. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were completed: the shortcomings of existing technological charts were analyzed; unified charts used by apparel brands were evaluated; a set of requirements for new technological chart illustrations was formulated; and a reference guide with improved technological charts was developed and integrated into the digital service for garment industry specialists, ProMetria.<\/p>\n

The updated visual design of technological process charts for garment manufacturing improves their perception by industry professionals and can subsequently be used in both educational and industrial practice within the garment industry.<\/p>\n
