An analysis of current research, which primarily uses synthetic and blended textile bases, reveals insufficient attention to the potential of natural fabrics as textile bases for filter-type material packages. The aim of the study was to compare the tensile properties of natural textile bases and industrially produced chemical-protective material analogs to justify the choice of base material for the package.

Cotton fabrics of satin (Moleskine S-159, S-174) and twill weave, as well as tarpaulin, were used as test subjects. Chemical-protective polyester-based materials with carbon-filled and membrane layers served as analogs. Testing was conducted according to a standardized methodology in accordance with Gosstandart 3813-72. It was found that, at a lower surface density (240–280 g/m²), Moleskin and twill exhibit higher base strength (up to 26,5061 MPa) and relative elongation (up to 34,2835 %) compared to tarpaulin and several industrial analogues. It was found that increasing the surface density does not provide a proportional increase in the strength of the textile base.

The advantages of using natural fabrics as the base for a filter package consisting of «natural fabric — activated carbon — membrane», providing protection against the droplet phase of petroleum products and against toxic vapors, are substantiated. It is shown that the combination of tensile strength, elasticity, and moderate weight improves the operational reliability and ergonomics of workwear. A set of characteristics of filter-type material packages is characterized for their further comprehensive evaluation.

Keywords: tensile strength; special clothing; material package; textile base; strength; relative elongation; industrial analogue; cotton; carbon; membrane

Garafiev Aidar Rustemovich Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan, Russia E-mail: garafievajdar@gmail.com ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0001-2865-2460 Tikhonova Natalya Vasilievna Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan, Russia E-mail: nata.tikhonova.81@mail.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2241-869X RSCI: https://elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=750903 Matveeva Vera Yurievna JSC «Kazkhimnii», Kazan, Russia E-mail: matveevavy@kaznii.ru ORCID: …

[51,5

post-2964","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-vol11-no1","category-article
["GET
