The article examines the physical and mechanical characteristics of polyamide threads, including their strength, thermal resistance, and hygroscopicity and chemical stability, which play a crucial role in determining the performance of products in various operational environments. Special attention is given to the role of the lubricant, which provides an anti-static effect and ensures the stability of the knitting process. The influence of various types of lubricant \u2014 polyethylene glycol, paraffin, oil, wax, and silicone compositions \u2014 on the quality of the formed fabric, thread breakage, and the resource of knitting equipment operation is analyzed.
