It analyzes modern digital methods of designing and decorating light industry products. The possibility and expediency of using fractal algorithms to generate unique ornaments that can be adapted to the technological features of felt shoes using digital printing, embroidery, or laser processing is substantiated. The article concludes that this approach has a high aesthetic and practical potential for creating innovative shoe collections in the Fractal Art Fashion concept. The purpose of this article is to analyze the possibility of using fractal graphics generation algorithms to create digital decor for felt shoes. The choice of felt as a material is due to its plasticity, ability to retain shape and compatibility with modern methods of digital decoration: printing, appliqué and laser cutting. To develop an improved classification scheme, we proposed a combined facet-hierarchical method, as this classification method allows shoemakers to provide the most objective and understandable description of the selected fractal for decorating the upper of shoes, both for programmers and for manufacturers. A comparative analysis of the technologies for applying fractal patterns to shoe materials is provided. The article provides a classification of fractals and describes each feature. It shows that the aesthetics of fractals in shoe design are largely based on their presence in nature and their fundamental connection to the structure of many materials.

Keywords: fractals; digital design; felt shoes; decoration; algorithmic graphics; fractal pattern

Panov Roman Sergeevich The Kosygin State University of Russia (Technologies.
