This issue is relevant because during cleanup operations, suits are exposed to both oil fractions and mechanical damage. The objective is to compare the tear resistance of natural textile bases and industrial chemical-protective alternatives. The studied textile bases include twill, canvas, and moleskin, as well as protective materials such as Bioform, Form, Mitron, and others. The tear load was assessed according to the standard, for both warp and weft, taking into account the surface density of the materials. Among industrial alternatives, Form demonstrated the highest tear resistance: 54,71 N for the warp and 73,66 N for the weft. Among the textile bases, the highest tear load values were obtained for tarpaulin \u2014 37,89 N for the warp and 55,18 N for the weft. However, its high surface density of 400 g\/m\u00b2 limits its use in the inner layer of the material stack. Twill with a surface density of 240 g\/m\u00b2 demonstrates tear load resistance of 34,14 N for the warp and 41,94 N for the weft and is the most preferred option for the material stack based on the ratio of weight to tear resistance. Moleskin article C-159, compared to Moleskin C-174, is characterized by greater resistance to tearing in both directions and is being considered as an additional textile base option for further research.
