Art), Moscow, Russia<br \/>\nRSCI: <a href=\"https:\/\/elibrary.ru\/author_profile.asp?id=363910\">https:\/\/elibrary.ru\/author_profile.asp?id=363910<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract.<\/strong> This article analyzes the current capabilities of automated knitwear design systems. It examines the relevance of this topic, which stems from the unique consumer properties of knitted fabrics, as well as the reduction in labor, material, and time costs associated with the use of automated clothing design systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An important aspect of the article is the review and comparative analysis of specialized and adapted automated clothing design systems. The criteria for comparison include: the ability to construct garment designs from knitted fabrics and the consideration of their specific properties, the consideration of pattern\/print repeats on knitwear, and the ability to visualize the finished product on the human body. The article also emphasizes the integration of the physical properties of knitted fabrics into the digital environment. A comparison was made between 2D design systems such as Gerber AccuMark, Grafis, Gracia, Lectra\/Modaris, Komtens, Julivi, Assol, and Investronica, and 3D design systems such as Optitex, CLO 3D, Browzwear (V-Stitcher), Lectra Modaris 3D, and TUKAcad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The article concludes that, despite the extensive list of similar systems, there is no suitable automated design system that covers the entire design process for customized knitwear, taking into account all its properties and the specifics of the applied print.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The results of the study may be useful for specialists in the light industry working with knitwear, as well as in the field of textile printing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> computer-aided design systems for clothing; digital design; knitted fabrics; 2D design; 3D modeling; Assol; Grafis; CLO 3D; virtual fitting<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simonyan Ani Gagikovna Russian State University named A.N.
