Despite the increased accuracy of prototyping, this approach does not eliminate the main barrier to mass production: the need for subsequent milling or die casting, the accumulation of errors during reshooting and high consumption. The article provides a justification for the effectiveness of additive technologies to eliminate intermediates, which boils down to the development of an optimized technological process for creating functional molds for the production of shoe soles by directly switching from a digital 3D model to metal or polymer tooling using SLM\/DMLS and SLA methods, bypassing the stages of physical prototyping and injection molding. To do this, we conducted a content analysis of the main categories of technology for subtractive and additive manufacturing of a master sole model, developed an optimized technological process for creating functional molds for the production of shoe soles through a direct transition from a digital 3D model to metal or polymer tooling, compared and evaluated materials for the manufacture of sole molds (temperature conditions, speed and a resource). This research was conducted as part of the dissertation of L.A.
