Abstract.<\/strong> The article analyzes trends in the design of fur products depending on the characteristics of consumer demand, fashion trends and properties of fur material. Marketing research in the Russian fur industry demonstrates consumer interest in fur products from short-haired skins, which indicates the relevance of expanding the range of products for various socio-economic groups of the population. The article is devoted to the development of designer models of women’s fur coats made of Rex rabbit skins with high aesthetic properties for various socio-economic groups of the population.<\/p>\n

In the course of the research, the texture of the hairline was taken into account, depending on the topography of the skin, the thickness of the leather tissue, weight, size, heat-shielding and physical properties of the fur semi-finished product. It has been established that the hairline of Rex rabbit skins has different resistance to abrasion in topographic areas, the values of the total thermal resistance of a semi-finished product can be attributed to the group of semi-finished fur products with high heat-shielding properties. Considerable thickness of semi-finished leather fabric (0.43…0.75 mm), weight (142…150 g) and area of skins (15.9…16.1 dm2) predetermined the assortment group of a fur product \u2013 a short coat. The high deformation properties of the semi-finished fur semi-finished product of the Rex rabbit breed, the plasticity and elasticity of the leather fabric, and, as a consequence, the drapeability of the material (58 %) formed the basis for constructive solutions for female models of a fur short coat for various socio-economic groups.<\/p>\n

The article presents sketches of the developed capsule collection of fur coats made of castor and chinchilla rex rabbit skins.<\/p>\n
