Influence of the working clothes color on the personnel working capacity

Abstract. The article studies the influence of different colors of working and firm personnel clothes, uniforms on its efficiency. Unlike marketing and design, practice in the field of economics and labor organization uses color very rarely to enhance the physiological capabilities of workers and increase productivity, especially when developing or buying working clothes. In this article, the author proves first the results of research by other scientists that color, having a wave nature, directly, and not only through visual perception, affects the worker’s psychophysiology and his performance. Further in the article, the impact on the workers’ working capacity, their physiological and psychological state of each of the working clothes colors is examined separately. The author determines in which areas of work, profession, each of the colors is the best suits. The third part of the article describes the author’s experience in changing the color of working clothes and the positive impact of this change on the performance of the organization. In the conclusion of the article the author concludes that it is necessary to take into account the influence of the color of working clothes and uniform on the perception and workers’ performance.
