Abstract. By 2025, 50 % of Russian brands are expected to be in the domestic market of light industry products. The state strategy is aimed at supporting domestic designers. To stand out in a large number of small and medium-sized designer brands, it is necessary to produce a unique, relevant product. One of the possible concepts for creating a new brand that will be noticed and supported in the market may be the use of innovative technologies. Technologies help solve problems at different production levels. So, to create artistic sketches, you can use the 2D program Mental Canvas with an interactive depth of space, animation programs that will allow you to assume the movement of the product in dynamics. At the stage of the design process, new CAD systems exist. 3D printers for the manufacture of real samples, new technologies for connecting parts and processing products, creating unique effects on materials, using innovative materials. Innovative technologies are being actively introduced into all spheres of human life, the importance of using scientific achievements in the production of light industry products in order to improve the human environment and objects of the material world is increasing. The use of modern technologies reduces the cost of production of products by shortening the production cycle, eliminates unnecessary production costs and unnecessary waste, and allows direct contact with the consumer. Innovative materials are primarily tested in the production of special clothing, but the segment of household clothing created using innovative materials is not so extensive. Therefore, the relevance of the topic lies in the analysis of innovative materials for light industry products, the study of examples of the use of these materials by modern designers, as well as the systematization of the knowledge gained and their adaptation in a modern youth women’s costume.
