Abstract. The article deals with the theme of the main modern innovative technologies in the production of knitwear. The relevance of the topic is to identify the main trends in the field of materials science, sewing, creating yarns and their importance for the future of clothing. Despite the fact that most consumers are focused on purchasing products made from natural materials, in the modern world of materials science and the chemical industry, the main focus is on the research and development of man-made materials that are multifunctional. They include materials with nanocoating, thermo regulating, flavored, with sorption properties, self-standing. In the sphere of cross-linking, the emphasis is on the production of seamless products, as well as on the ability to weld synthetic materials or to connect them with special adhesive tapes. Taiwanese knitting factory Pai Lung became famous for creating a machine with Float Plating technology, the essence of which is to create a knitted fabric that simulates denim fabric. Innovations in the creation of yarns are HEI-yarn, capable of anesthetizing, stopping blood, healing abrasions, disinfecting the wound and removing swelling, yarn from milk, similar in quality to cotton yarn and yarn from gelatin, the strengthening of which is being carried out.
