Abstract. The oil and gas industry is an industry that has a high level of danger to the health and life of employees. The article presents the development of innovative special-purpose clothing with a system for monitoring and controlling the physiological state of an employee. The objects of development are a special-purpose winter jacket for protection from low temperatures, oil and petroleum products for employees of the oil and gas industry and an automated hardware and software complex for monitoring and maintaining human physiological parameters. An analysis of existing monitoring systems in clothing has been carried out, and shortcomings have been identified. The main requirements for a winter jacket for workers in the oil refining industry of climate zones 3 and 4 are ranked, and the entire package of materials for the designed product is packaged. A proprietary monitoring system, operating algorithms, and used electronic components included in the system for collecting, processing, and transmitting measurement information about physiological parameters have been developed. A model with additional pockets and holes for equipment placement has been developed. The built-in electronics are located between the main upper fabric and the insulation, and are attached using special wire holders. At the bottom of the jacket, in the seam of the belt, a zipper is located on the back, for easy access to electronics, troubleshooting and the possibility of removing the product for washing. The smart jacket has received positive feedback from workers in the oil and gas industry and is recommended for industrial production.
