Abstract. The article discusses the use of additive technologies in the production of protective equipment for various sports. The main advantage of additive manufacturing is the use of new materials and advanced technical solutions in sports products, which affects the competitiveness of products and reduces production time. Based on the analysis of innovations in the technical equipment of production facilities of enterprises specializing in the manufacture of sports equipment, the authors conclude that the widespread introduction of additive technologies is relevant.

The insufficiency of the spread of additive technologies in the production of sports equipment is currently explained by the high specificity and exclusivity of the designed products. In modern sports, the difference between victory and defeat is measured in milliseconds, and often depends on the specifics of the athlete’s equipment, so additive manufacturing will be actively implemented.

The article examines the experience of using additive technologies in the production of sports equipment, analyzes the impact of new technology on the quality and properties of the final product, the advantages and disadvantages of the approach under study. The analysis of the relevance and prospects for the development of additive technologies in sports equipment was carried out on the basis of a systematic review of scientific articles and publications. The authors summarized the global experience and features of manufacturing sports products using three-dimensional printing, analyzed the properties of the materials used, the qualitative characteristics of the final product and expert opinion on the functionality of sports equipment made by 3D printing.

It has been established that the production of personalized protective sports equipment made using additive technologies is a promising direction, the implementation of which is aimed at solving complex problems of the quality of personal protective equipment for athletes, which is especially important for non-competitive and social sports activities. The use of additive technologies in the design makes it possible to predict and adjust the characteristics of personalized sports products, which will allow you to purposefully influence the effectiveness of a sports event, as well as the comfort and self-perception of athletes.
