Abstract. In connection with the development of outdoor activities and tourism among the population, issues of increasing a person’s comfortable stay in various climatic conditions are relevant. Despite the wide selection of proposals from domestic and foreign manufacturers of heat-protective clothing, a comprehensive study of innovative textile materials and the development on this basis of a fundamentally new package with enhanced heat-shielding properties and low weight remain necessary, because these products do not always ensure a comfortable human stay in the cold.

When creating heat-protective clothing for outdoor activities, it is necessary to take into account that its thermal resistance ultimately must be assessed by the total “insulating effect” of the finished structure. The solution to this problem can be obtained if the task is fulfilled, which allows to transform the design of heat-protective clothing into a design of clothing with the specified characteristics of the insulation package.

This article analyzes the selection of a package of materials for a suit for outdoor activities and their laboratory tests for compliance with specified meteorological conditions of operation in order to ensure a comfortable thermal state of the human body. Designed suit for outdoor activities from innovative materials are the women’s heat jacket in the style of «park» and pants. Based on the analysis and experimental data, the authors selected a new package of innovative domestic materials, consisting of three layers of textile materials, which has not only a small mass, but also fully corresponds to the enhanced heat-shielding properties of the suit active recreation, shown to the III climatic zone. that ensures a comfortable stay of a person in the cold for active recreation, shown to the III climatic zone. that ensures a comfortable stay of a person in the cold.
