Abstract. The article explores key aspects of pedagogical design in the context of working with landscape motifs in textile design. Particular attention is paid to the principles and methods of generalization and typification of image objects. The importance of highlighting the essential and characteristic features of natural forms is emphasized, which allows the designer to focus on creating an expressive silhouette of plant elements, avoiding excessive naturalism.
Landscape motifs on fabric have their roots in folk art. Textile ornaments are not just decoration, but a reflection of the cultural, religious and historical characteristics of peoples. The text emphasizes the importance of studying ornament as a key to understanding history and culture.
Landscape motifs remain relevant and in demand in modern design, demonstrating their enduring value as part of cultural heritage. Modern designers use images of nature in various styles from conventional to realistic, which demonstrates the flexibility and adaptability of the landscape genre. Particular attention is paid to the importance of having sketches of various landscapes and elements of nature in the creative portfolio of an artist-designer, executed in different styles and levels of conventionality. From botanical images to abstract and stylized forms — all these elements form a single artistic image of the landscape. The requirements for sketches are considered, attention is focused on their artistic expressiveness and variety of forms. Despite the influence of computer technology on the process of creating an image, creative vision and skill remain key factors of success. Technologies facilitate routine processes and expand the possibilities of experimentation, but cannot replace the creative activity and original ideas of the artist. Thus, the combination of traditional methods with modern technologies provides artists with a unique opportunity to open new horizons in creating works that reflect the spirit of the times.
