Abstract. The article discusses the origins of the design of textile ornaments, as well as methods for applying modern technologies for applying layers of composition when creating ornamented fabrics. The main characteristics of ornamental compositions based on the ideas of the Russian avant-garde are obtained. The principles of the masters of the 20th century serve as the basis for a combination of technologies and design methods, using methods for applying ornament to textiles, including: hand, machine and mixed. Analysis of the possibilities of using combinatorial methods used to create ornamental elements based on textiles belonging to the Russian avant-garde period to manifest the effect of volumetric visual and tactile perception on the surface of a textile material. The main methods of designing textile ornaments are singled out. They highlight the basic principles necessary to create visual effects of three-dimensional ornament and relief effects for tactile perception of the ornamental composition. An algorithm for the technology of designing such a reproduction on textiles has been developed, which serves as the basis for a modern technique for designing an ornament with the effect of three-dimensional visual and tactile perception. The algorithm includes the creative sources of the Russian avant-garde of the 1910s–1930s, which implies a preliminary analysis of the compositional solutions of that time. The results of testing color solutions for sublimation printing are presented, on the basis of which the graphic organization of the ornament itself was developed. The possible fragmentation of the composition into elements for further imposition of layers on textiles has been studied. The developed algorithm makes it possible to design an industrial ornament with the effect of three-dimensional visual and tactile perception based on the ideas of the Russian avant-garde with the use of information technology and graphic editors for application to textiles.
