Abstract. The article discusses the relevance of using work gloves as personal protective equipment (PPE) at industrial enterprises in the Russian Federation, including metalworking, woodworking and agricultural companies. Various types of protective gloves (chemical, heat-resistant, cut- and puncture-resistant) and the corresponding production technologies are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the classification of gloves by safety categories (I, II, III) and price segments reflecting the level of protection due to the use of stronger threads.
The problem of a high level of injuries to the upper limbs at enterprises, especially in the woodworking and textile industries, is identified. A solution is proposed in the form of developing a model of a glove made of blended yarn with reinforcement of hazardous areas with aramid thread, created using digital machine modeling and the YandexART neural network, which will improve safety and reduce industrial injuries.
The effectiveness of PPE, in particular work gloves, is directly related to a reduction in the risk of industrial injuries. According to statistics, hand injuries account for a significant share of the total number of accidents at work. The use of unsuitable or worn gloves neutralizes the protective effect, which leads to an increase in the number of injuries. The introduction of innovative solutions in the production of PPE is a prerequisite for increasing the level of safety in industrial enterprises. The use of modern technologies in the developed glove model, such as digital machine modeling, artificial intelligence, allows us to create more effective and ergonomic protective equipment adapted to specific working conditions.
