Abstract. In this article, the author analyzes the impact of digital art on public thinking and the fashion industry, focusing on the integration of fashion and modern technology in the context of sustainable development. The main idea is that digital fashion is a new and actively developing field, opening new opportunities for designers and consumers.
The relevance of the topic is due to the rethinking of people’s attitudes towards digital space and fashion after the COVID-19 pandemic. The first virtual fashion week mentioned in the article demonstrates the high level of digitalization of the fashion industry, and virtual shows, such as the GCDS and MCQUEEN collections, illustrate how contemporary innovations overcome the limitations of physical reality.
The aim of this research is to examine the phenomenon of digitalization of fashion, where digital art is a tool for expressing social issues and creating unique visual content. The author also draws attention to the need for specialists of a new formation in the field of digital design, emphasizing the importance of developing skills in working with 2D and 3D programs to create virtual clothes and simplify the processes of producing real ones. The main objective was to explore the impact of new technologies on the fashion industry. The article describes the benefits of introducing innovative technologies into the fashion industry, which contribute to more efficient sales, reducing unnecessary resource extraction and calling for a rethinking of the consumption process itself. Alongside the benefits, however, the author raises issues of privacy security, public sensitivity to the intangibility of goods, and the need for universal standards for virtual items.
In this way, the paper demonstrates the interconnection of fashion, ecology and technology, which reveals digital fashion as a space for new possibilities. The topic revealed in the paper is relevant in a dynamically developing world and offers a constructive view on the future of the fashion industry. This article is intended for professionals who study modern design and the possibilities of 3D technologies and innovations within the fashion industry.
