Abstract. This study studies the age-related dynamics of the dimensional characteristics of children of primary school age in the Republic of Tajikistan, with the aim of improving the design of school uniforms from the standpoint of ergonomics, by more accurately bringing it into line with the real dimensional characteristics of children, both statically and dynamically. The study focused on the rapid growth phase of children aged 7 to 10 years, a period marked by significant physical changes. This period is characterized by growth spurts that vary greatly in timing and magnitude among different children. However, there is a wide range of variability in the growth patterns of children of the same age, which is explained by genetic differences, environmental conditions and socioeconomic status. It is noted that the growth patterns of boys and girls differ significantly, with girls typically experiencing growth spurts earlier. The analysis involved 289 children from different parts of the country to reflect natural demographic patterns while examining differences in growth and development between the sexes. The use of the Texel Portal MX volumetric scanner and Texel Cloud software ensured minimal discomfort to participants and ensured that the ethical standards of the study were met, as well as the accuracy of the data obtained. As a result of the study, it was found that girth measurements increase faster than lengths in both boys and girls, with the most minor changes observed in arm length, which is also true for both sexes. The data obtained made it possible to adjust standard calculations for the design of models of shoulder and waist products included in the school uniform of children of primary school age.
