Abstract. The article presents a study of the design processes and presentations of collections in the digital environment. The features of the design stages of light industry products are considered, taking into account the introduction of innovative technologies. The authors provide an overview of the current state of development of digital fashion in the light industry. The interest of digital fashion for the clothing industry lies in the unlimited possibilities for designers to express creative ideas, due to a wide range of three-dimensional programs, the functionality of which allows to develop and modify clothing proportions, product silhouettes, materials, textures, colors, prints, create original functional and decorative details and accessories. The digital space, combining physical, augmented and virtual reality, represents a progressive virtual world, where fashion design occurs in stages, as in the physical world, but with expanded technological capabilities. The goal of the study is to identify modern high-tech ways of presenting clothing collections in virtual space. This research is a part of the doctoral thesis. The article presents the results of work on the development of digital fashion show, digital photography, digital clothing, reconstruction of historical costume, and development of digital doubles. The authors say, that the next stage of development will be the progressive introduction of neural networks into the process of processing digital images to achieve the maximum degree of object realism. Science faces global goals in the creation and development of artificial intelligence technologies and at all stages of the design and production of light industry products.
