Abstract. Clothing made of translucent materials has become a trend in the fashion world and has been a sought-after wardrobe item for more than one season. Shirts, blouses, tunics, dresses, raincoats, windbreakers, trench coats, parkas, bomber jackets, skirts, trousers made of nylon, tulle, organza, chiffon, lace fabrics and other transparent materials are found in the collections of many brands. Transparent types of clothing are relevant for creating both provocative and shocking, as well as elegant evening dresses, bold casual and business suits. The method of adapting a transparent outfit to a casual or office style through the creation of a multi-layered set is recognized by designers and stylists.

Transparent clothing claims to be sexy and shows off exposed body parts. Her popularity is influenced by social and cultural barriers. However, in some regions of the Russian Federation, the choice of assortment is limited and there are no stores specializing in the sale of such clothes. The article presents the results of a questionnaire survey of women in the Omsk region. The survey results confirm the increased demand for transparent wardrobe items and the low level of supply, in particular, for women’s blouses (shirts). The range of clothing in question may become a niche for Omsk manufacturers.

Recommendations on the formation of sets of various types of women’s clothing using a transparent blouse (shirt) have been developed by the authors. The technological features of manufacturing products from transparent materials are described. Special attention is paid to the methods of processing slit and non-slit pockets in blouses, as the most technologically complex nodes. Special attention is paid to the methods of processing slits and pockets in the seams in blouses, as the most technologically complex nodes. The proposed schemes of processing methods can be useful to specialists of the garment industry and service enterprises when mastering the technology of manufacturing such clothes.
