Abstract. The article is devoted to an overview of modern technical solutions in the development and creation of «smart clothes» that can be applicable to people with deviations in health, including various types of disabilities. Developments that facilitate the everyday life of people with visual impairments, hearing impairments, musculoskeletal disorders, mental and mental disabilities, as well as immobilized patients are considered. The analysis of the functionality of technical solutions of «smart clothes» and the possibility of their application in order to compensate for the lost functions in people with disabilities and deviations in health. Examples of involving design students in the design of products with increased functionality for people with disabilities are given. The development of hearing aids made for children in the form of cartoon characters and for women in the form of jewelry is shown. The problem of creating clothes for women using a wheelchair, including those with temperature-controlled elements based on the use of materials with carbon fibers, is considered in detail. Model and technical solutions for waist-belt products for walking in cold weather, including in a wheelchair, are proposed.
