Abstract. Special personal protective equipment can reduce the level of exposure to harmful and dangerous factors on workers. The authors present a dustproof suit — a means of individual skin protection for workers of various industries when working in dusty areas in which contact with chemicals in the liquid phase is possible.
The results of the analysis of the modern market of personal protective equipment of the skin, which are used in chemical enterprises, are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of analog suits are revealed. A model of a has been developed. It consists of a jacket with a detachable hood and trousers. The trousers have reinforcing elements made of multi-layer insulating material with a wide range of protective properties that prevent contact with liquid chemicals. For the reinforcement elements of the suit, it is proposed to use an innovative multilayer polymer material LTL-1-2 produced by JSC «KAZHIMNII». All recommended materials comply with the requirements of TR CU 019/2011, GOST R 12.4.289-2013 and GOST 12.4.101-93 and have high protective characteristics. The described suit has a number of advantages over analogues due to quick-replaceable reinforcement elements that are fixed on the jacket and trousers with special fasteners. Removable elements can be cleaned or decontaminated separately from the dust suit. The introduction of this technical solution of a special suit to chemical industry enterprises will allow to obtain a number of advantages: to provide workers with universal special clothing for working in areas with various harmful factors; to minimize the time spent on changing special clothing; to increase the service life of personal protective equipment of the skin and optimize the costs of their purchase and disposal; to in-crease production culture.
