Abstract. The article examines the problem of the discrepancy between the current dimensional standards and the latest anthropometric data for girls of senior school age, which is caused by a combination of factors: reduced physical activity, acceleration, changes in dietary habits, and socio‑economic conditions. The aim of the study is to obtain up‑to‑date anthropometric data for girls in Yekaterinburg and to develop a method for adapting basic clothing designs to the identified changes. The study was conducted on a sample of 18 people using a hybrid methodology that combines traditional contact measurements and digital 3D scanning, followed by processing in the Clo3D computer‑aided design system. To minimize the errors associated with the digital method, growth coefficients for height‑related dimensional characteristics have been calculated. A comparative analysis of the obtained data with the standard values revealed systemic deviations from the standard dimensional characteristic values. Thirteen types of figures belonging to the III–VI full‑body groups have been identified. A tendency towards a reduction in the longitudinal dimensions of the torso, combined with a general elongation of the proportions of the upper shoulder girdle, has been recorded. Based on the obtained data, a methodology has been developed for adapting the basic design of a fitted‑silhouette shoulder garment using parametric modeling in the Grafis computer‑aided design system. An algorithm for making design changes has been proposed, which makes it possible to adapt the working patterns of sewing enterprises to current anthropometric data without completely restructuring the design foundations. The developed methodology has practical significance for the mass production of children’s clothing in Yekaterinburg, ensuring improved fit of finished products and reduced labour intensity in their development.
