Abstract. In the modern world, the requirements and expectations of consumers are constantly changing, which leads to the development of new approaches for designing modern models, such as unisex clothing.

Considering the specifics of the mentality of the Russian audience, the concept of «unisex» clothing is in demand mainly in a sporty style. This is explained not only by social and cultural factors, but also by the economic feasibility of optimizing production processes. Creating versatile clothing models that can be worn by both men and women allows manufacturers to reduce development and production costs, as well as increase the potential audience of customers.

A marketing study of the target audience was conducted to study consumer preferences. The design features of the «unisex» style models are highlighted: large volume, straight silhouette, absence of formative elements, elongated shoulder line, shirt sleeves, which allows you to create uniform designs for a wider range of consumers. The analysis of the dimensional features of male and female figures has been carried out, enlarged size and height groups have been identified, which greatly simplifies the development process.

The stages of the «unisex» style clothing design method are described. The results of the implementation are presented using the example of the development of winter jackets of the «unisex» style for the state corporation Roscosmos. The step-by-step progress of work on the preparation of a model design of a winter jacket in Grafis CAD is presented. The article highlights the importance of using digital technologies that optimize development stages and increase design accuracy. Digital layouts of winter jackets have been developed.

The proposed method of designing clothes in the «unisex» style makes it possible to reduce the number of design documentation being developed and expand the product range for men and women. The successful combination of functionality, aesthetics and economic efficiency has been demonstrated.
