Abstract. The article examines the impact of digitalization on the development of the fashion industry. In the manufacturing sector, brands are forced to rethink their approaches, moving from single-use products to sustainable, high-quality and long-lasting solutions.
The article analyzes advanced technologies that contribute to changes in production processes, marketing, and interaction with consumers. An important aspect of the transformation of the fashion industry is digitalization, which opens up new horizons for digital fashion and immersive content, creating the effect of immersion in virtual spaces. The key areas influencing the development of the fashion industry are highlighted: artificial intelligence, 3D technologies, virtual collections and fitting rooms, monetization of virtual clothing and shoes. Virtual and visually oriented forms of self-expression are becoming the main ones for a modern person, and clothing and shoes in digital format serve as a tool for forming identity and social status. The transition to the metaverse offers new prospects for digital fashion, blurring the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds.
Research has been conducted on the impact of digital technologies on the fashion industry, an analysis of their distribution among Russian and foreign brands and consumer perception has been given. Digitalization opens up new opportunities for the fashion industry, contributing to significant changes in its organizational structure and operational processes, making it more innovative, sustainable and consumer-oriented. Effective adaptation to new technologies will play a decisive role in further development and ensuring competitiveness among brands.
