Abstract. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of modern technological equipment for implementing threadless joining methods (TJM) for light industry products and the types of seams formed using this equipment. The article provides a detailed review of modern technologies, equipment, and formed connections in the field of threadless joining methods for light industry products. The analysis of two main groups of methods was carried out: welded (with external heat supply, ultrasonic and high-frequency) and adhesive (overlapping, bonding with hot-melt tapes, extrusion technology), as well as combined, rivet and needle-punched methods. The equipment of leading global manufacturers, such as PFAFF Industrial, JUKI, Macpi, Hanfor, was considered, with highlighting of key technical characteristics, areas of application and development trends. The typical types of welded, glued, and combined seams obtained using this equipment have been systematized. The analysis results reveal the technological diversity of BMS and serve as a basis for selecting optimal solutions for product design and technological processes. Based on the systematization of data on welding (ultrasonic, high-frequency, hot air/wedge) and adhesive (overlapping, tape bonding, extrusion) equipment from leading global manufacturers, key technical characteristics, applications, and limitations of each method have been identified. As a result of the study, a hierarchical sample matrix of technologies has been developed, which integrates three groups of criteria: the properties of the materials to be joined (thermoplastics, coated textiles, and natural fabrics), the production context (serial production, flexibility, and staff qualifications), and the requirements for the product (strength, tightness, and aesthetics). The matrix serves as a structured algorithm for engineering and technological justification of the choice of the optimal BMS method, allowing for a compromise between technological capabilities and cost-effectiveness.
