Abstract. The fashion world is undergoing a revolutionary transformation, organically intertwined with the rapid development of digital technologies. This dynamic intersection has spawned innovative trends that are changing the industry in unprecedented ways.

This research paper explores the transformative impact of digital technology on the fashion industry, particularly on the design process of clothing, footwear and accessories. With the advent of advanced digital tools, designers and constructors are now equipped with innovative tools to conceptualize, create, and manifest their products. This article examines various aspects of digital technologies, including graphics editors, 3D modeling, virtual prototyping, computer-aided design (CAD), and a new type of digital technology — neural network programming.

Focusing on apparel, footwear and accessories, the article explores technologies that enhance creativity, optimize production and enable innovative designs. The article discusses the integration of digital technologies at various stages of light industrial design development, from trend analysis and material selection to personalized customization for consumers. Through case studies and examples, we highlight the potential of digital technology to redefine the structure of design in the fashion industry and pave the way for a more sustainable and customer-centric industry.

The purpose of the study is determined by the «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation» program, approved by order No. 1632-r dated July 28, 2017, aimed at developing the digital economy of the Russian Federation, in which digital data is a key factor of production in all spheres of socio-economic activities.

The purpose of the study is to explore the transformative impact of digital technologies on the product design process in light industry.

To achieve this goal, the following tasks were completed: modern digital technologies used in light industry were analyzed, the concept of «digital technologies» was analyzed, the use of digital technologies in the development of light industry products was studied, an experimental study was conducted on the use of digital technologies in the development of light industry products among designers and constructors of clothing, shoes and accessories.
