Abstract. Modern retail is undergoing major changes in the conditions of pandemic reality. Most of the retail has moved to the Internet space. But even there, for the dynamic sale of clothes, there are not enough rational components that will allow the buyer to qualitatively improve the purchase process. Not being able to try on clothes before buying increases the number of refunds. The article is devoted to the study of virtual fitting technology and the assessment of the possibilities of changing the unfavorable conditions of modern online retail trade. The optimal algorithm of the program for recognizing a person’s posture and optimizing the construction of a textile product for the user is described.

Today, the technology of virtual fitting is at the stage of its initial development, since it is quite difficult to combine the image of a digital double and the image of a real buyer. Most examples of using a digital double do not give a good result of planting a digital image of clothing on the figure of a real person. But even this experience sets up a positive attitude due to the great interest of the consumer in this topic. It can be assumed that the dynamic lifestyle of people will contribute to the development of interactive remote retail options. Perhaps in the near future, having your own digital avatar will become commonplace for any consumer and this will greatly advance the digitalization of services for the population.
