Abstract. Creating a harmonious image is an important task in the selection of ready-to-wear items. Wardrobe recommendations are currently a process that requires experienced stylists and, therefore, cannot be scaled or simply personalized depending on the individual physique and color type of the consumer. The variety of shapes creates difficulties in choosing clothes of the right size, style, silhouette and color. Ready-to-wear recommendation systems using algorithms that evaluate the appearance of the consumer are widely known. Based on the assessment of appearance, such systems are able to offer clothes suitable for a person in terms of color type or archetype, as well as clothes that combine with each other in a number of ways: style, color, purpose, material used. Many systems are built on the use of consumers’ emotional responses to purchases received from social networks or reviews. It was revealed that the consumer is interested in applications and software products that are able to evaluate the features of the appearance and offer ready-made clothes that harmoniously match the figure and color type. In the performed study, the process of determining the type of physique of a male figure using artificial intelligence is considered. The purpose of the study is to create a method for digitally determining the silhouette of a consumer to facilitate the selection of clothing items suitable for a consumer by body type. The application of the proposed method is possible both for online purchases of ready-made clothes, and in a real store before the actual fitting is performed. It has prospects for use in the diversified development of light industry. The object of the study is male figures in a static position. The article is part of the dissertation research.
