Abstract. This article discusses a way to preserve and promote the cultural code of the Kursk region in clothing design by combining it with modern technology. Based on research analyzing and identifying the most common ornaments, costume color schemes, and modern symbols of the region, an artistic concept for unique prints was developed. QR codes were incorporated into the design, leading to a webpage that describes the historical prototype and its symbolism. The authors argue that the use of traditional folk ornaments in modern design has not only cultural and historical significance but also economic value. Folk culture-inspired images can become defining, recognizable elements of regional clothing and textile brands, leading to their success in the market. This innovation not only attracts younger consumers but also generates interest in the cultural heritage being represented and builds consumer trust. One of the developed ornaments, «Solovushka», is proposed and intended for use in a sports-oriented clothing collection for athletes of the Kursk region. This allows athletes to showcase their identity, draw attention to the region in the sports community, and express their cultural bond with their hometown. The color scheme of the original prints was carefully selected, taking into account the traditions and symbols of the Kursk region both in the past and present. Combining folk ornaments with modern technology allows for the preservation and transmission of national and cultural identity through the world of fashion, promoting respect and understanding between different cultures and nations.
